Dez Kay - Compere & Host

Dez has worked as a professional DJ for a number of years, with his early days spent working in nightclubs and pubs. His career in radio began when he presented programmes for Wycombe Radio throughout the seventies. In 1982 he moved to Stoke Mandeville Hospital Radio where he still remains today. His weekly show 'Special K' has become very popular with radio listeners and he regularly features celebrity interviews in one off specials. Dez is also involved with the hospitals' outside broadcast unit, which incorporates Disco's and fund raising events for charity. Even with such a busy schedule Dez still finds time to present radio programmes for Flame FM.

Dez's career continues to flourish, and recently he was very thrilled to accept two awards for his achievements and services to the community. He comments that from an early age he was spellbound by the magic of the stage, along with the atmosphere that performances can create and he is very proud to be a part of our production.
