Mickey Davenport is James Burton on Lead Guitar

Mickey started playing guitar at the age of eight, inspired by his Mum and Dad's record collection which included Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, The Rolling Stones and of course Elvis Presley. Self taught and playing by ear, he worked out the songs he liked by playing the records over and over, sometimes very much to the dismay of his poor parents!!

His unique talent and fascination for the guitar was not to go unnoticed and it would not be long before for it would pay off. This became evident when at the age of 17 Mickey became a professional musician joining 'The Itsy Bitsy Band'. He stayed with them for over four years and from that time and beyond, has toured extensively. His musical career has gone from strength to strength and he currently plays in 'Some Like It Hot' who are considered one of the UK's finest soul bands. He also works as a guitar/bass teacher, both privately and at local schools in the area in which he lives.
